Why this ride is worth it

Kinnekulle is a flat-topped plateau rising to about 306 m in Västergötland, beautifully situated by Lake Vänern. Here you get a bit of everything: ancient limestone layers, hidden Neolithic and Bronze Age burial sites, medieval churches like Husaby where Sweden’s first Christian king was baptized, and locations featured in Jan Guillou’s Arn novels.
Riding around Kinnekulle takes you through idyllic, winding lanes with glimpses of the lake, old manor houses, colourful quarry walls, and a calm atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy the journey.

Tips and warnings

Even if you don’t visit any of the sites it’s well worth a ride. Look out for wildlife!
