Have you ever felt like you’re just never good enough?

Have you ever wanted something so badly, but somehow couldn’t make it happen?
Maybe because you were afraid, or because you didn’t believe you could do it. Maybe something about it makes it extra hard. And so you gave up.

That’s exactly how it’s been for me with riding a motorcycle. The first time I tried to get my licence, I spent more time lying under the bike than sitting on it. Being 160 cm tall and riding a bike you can’t reach the ground on is no joke – it’s enough to give anyone performance anxiety.

But you know what? You can do it. Because if I can – so can you.

My motorcycle journey (pun intended) from car driver to motorcycle rider was long, winding, and steep. This spring, I gave a talk about it at Kör Hoj’s “Tjejhelg med Malin Åhr.”

It’s not just about cheeky examiners and torrential rain on test day. It’s about a lifetime of performance anxiety – baggage from childhood, telling me I never lived up to what everyone expected of me. That I simply wasn’t good enough.

But here I am. And today, I ride a Triumph Tiger adventure bike.

Want to hear more about it?

Want to hear me talk about how I got here, and how I learned to handle the anxiety?
I’m open to talks for workplaces, associations, schools, and events in Sweden and Norway.

Email me at verene@sparksofjoy.eu — I’ll get back to you.
